Bill and Katie's Million Pound Match-Up SpaceTaking it one pound at a time March 27 Finally Getting There! For the first time since College, I am in the 250's......!!!!! I am pumped! Now I can't wait to get even further below that. Will see. March 25 We got the shoesWell we did it; we broke down and bought cycling shoes. I am sure I will be fine on the stationary cycling bikes but I am not sure how many times I will fall off of my bike when my shoes are clipped in and i am trying to get off the bike! March 20 Is this scale right?Last night we weighed in at the gym. My broken record comment....is this scale right? I made Bill grab a weight to measure the scale. Sure enough it was pretty much on! Another 3 pounds off! YEAH!!! March 15 Please Support UsIt is with great excitement that we announce our participation in the Bike MS 2008! The Bike MS event will take place on August 16th 17th. I am asking you to join the movement by making a contribution to support my efforts.
The National MS Society is committed to building a movement by and for people with MS that will move us closer to a world free of this disease. Donations collected for Bike MS continuously fund research for a cure, while also providing services and support for those currently living with MS. I am riding this year because I believe in the mission of the National MS Society. More than 400,000 Americans live with MS and every donation will help us find a cure.
Please help by making a donation or joining my team. Join me, and together we can create a world free of MS. I greatly appreciate your support and I will keep you posted on my progress.
March 11 What were our Goals!Bill and I set out with non descript goals. We wanted to lose weight and if that meant Bill's high blood pressure went a way great; and if that meant the aches and pains in Katie's knees went away great again. But what we have found on this journey is a long term goal of being healthy for life. And as mentioned we have decided to participate in Pedal to the Point in August. Not only do we phyiscally need to be ready for the ride but we also get tickets to get into Cedar Point amusement park. Why is this significant??? Because the last time we went; Bill and I couldn't ride most of the rides because we were too overweight......HOW EMBARSSING!! So this journey has lead us to a very measurable goal that doesn't focus on just weight; but more on fitness and health! Not the end of the RoadIt is 9:20 pm here, Bill and I have just gotten back to the house after volleyball. I am looking back at what we have done over the past couple months and it is amazing. We have really incorporated some healthy life style changes over the past 3 months. And I truly believe that the changes are ones we can keep up. Even though I feel my weight loss has been slow I had a weight loss. For the last two years I have just seen the scale increase....for it to be decreasing is WONDERFUL! I can't wait to go to the doctor at the end of the month!
I know we are going to keep going on this website, but I just wanted to thank everyone for their support and advice! Bill and I have enjoyed this experience!
Like Bill said we would love to be the biggest losers! I would love to get my butt kicked by any one of the trainers!
Good luck to everyone and we'll see you online for the rest of our weight loss journeys! NEXT BIGGEST LOSER COUPLESI think Katie and myself would be a good fit for the next couples show! what do you think? LifeStyle ChangeWell I did not work out at all yesterday becuase of work, kids and running around that I had to do. I felt bad for not working out so I got my butt out of bed this morning and took a 5:30 am spinning(cycleops) class. It is around 8:30 am now and I feel pretty good but will see if I am dragging tonight. March 09 We are almost done :(Only 2 days left???? Wow that went by quickly! Bill and I are still working hard. We have goals to reach for. The biggest goal we have is to get inshape for the Pedal to the point. Both of us are measuring our success by weight loss; but I can tell you the true test of our success will be completing the 175 mile bike race. February 27 Good Information!Well I have been on this website a few times but the dietitian that is one of our resources for our Weight Management class stressed looking at it tonight so I did. www.mypyramid.gov If you haven't been on it yet you should go. It has great tools for tracking intake, and exercise and then it will spit out tons of information about your dietary needs vs what you are consuming. |
Thanks for visiting!
